The Advertising Association promotes the role and rights of responsible advertising and its value to people, society, businesses and the economy. We represent UK advertisers, agencies, media owners and tech companies on behalf of the entire industry, acting as the connection between industry professionals and the politicians and policy-makers.

A A A

The Advertising Association focuses on major industry and policy areas that have huge ramifications on UK advertising. This section contains our work around Brexit, HFSS and gambling advertising, data and e-privacy, trust, the digital charter and our Industrial Strategy campaigns.

Credos is the advertising industry’s independent think tank. It produces research, evidence and reports into the impact and effectiveness of and public and political response to advertising on behalf of UK advertisers in order to enable the industry to make informed decisions.

Front Foot is our industry’s member network of over 50 businesses across UK advertising. It aims to promote the role of responsible advertising and its value to people, society and the economy through a coalition of senior leaders from advertisers, agencies and media owners.

We run a number of events throughout the year, from our annual LEAD summit to the Media Business Course and regular breakfast briefings for our members. We are also the official UK representative for the world’s biggest festival of creativity – Cannes Lions.

JOIN US FOR CANNES LIONS UNLOCKED

We are super excited to be hosting, along with our partners, a special hybrid event for young talent in our industry on the afternoon of 9 September. In our role as UK representative for Cannes Lions, we will share the very best work and key learnings from the last two years of the festival.

Highlights will include ‘Cannes Deconstructed’ by Contagious, which will be a definitive guide to what matters in advertising and creativity, and a talk from the AMV BBDO team behind ‘Womb Stories’, which won four Grand Prix at Cannes Lions this year. It won’t be one to miss!

You can book your ticket to the online version of the event here. In-person tickets to the event at Curzon Soho are by invitation only. If you have any queries, please contact events@adassoc.org.uk.

ATTEND A WESTMINSTER E-FORUM

On Wednesday 20th October, our Deputy Director of Policy and Regulation, Konrad Shek, will be speaking at the Westminster eForum’s Online Advertising Regulation conference on a panel with ITV and Sky.

This conference will be a timely opportunity to consider the Government’s Online Advertising Programme – which looks at the current framework for regulating online advertising and fraudulent, misleading, or harmful content – and priorities for ongoing work to ensure the regulation of online advertising is reflective of the evolving digital market.
