Gambling advertising was liberalised under the Gambling Act (2005) and must be undertaken in a socially responsible manner. It is regulated by the B/CAP Codes.
Our work on gambling advertising is currently focused on the Government’s ongoing Review of the Gambling Act (2005). Our Gambling Advertising Working Group will inform our response to the Call for Evidence.
In light of research published by GambleAware, CAP are currently reviewing rules on gambling advertising to further limit their appeal to under-18s and vulnerable adults.
